A borrowed inbox is not your signal
A rented sign is not your signal.
What this film argues
Theo opens on the two tools almost every small business already uses to be reachable — a Gmail inbox and a link-in-bio page — and names what they actually are: a borrowed inbox and a borrowed shelf, both running through somebody else’s platform.
The film does not say either tool is broken. It says they work fine right up until the platform changes its rules or its price, and that a business reachable only through them has no address of its own to fall back on.
Who it is for
For a business whose entire public presence is a Gmail address and a link-in-bio page, and has never had a reason to ask what happens if either one changes.
Narration
A Gmail address and a link-in-bio page still run through somebody else’s platform, not yours.
